Google Future – Will it Still be Popular?

At the time of this writing, Google is one of the most dominant technology companies across the world.

While it is true to say that Google might not be the wealthiest company, it is definitely true to say that Google is the most popular company.

Today, you will find Google products in every corner of this world; however, Apple products are limited to certain areas of the economy, where only the rich can afford to own and use an Apple device. Google began as a search engine and later on went into many other sectors. Despite venturing into such diverse fields, there are over 1 billion people that use Google search. This is the same figure that is arrived at when looking at the number of people using the Android products.

When you walk across to the social media platform, Google is represented by Google+ and on this application; there are over 500 million people. This figure is no different from what you get when looking at the number of active users on Gmail. The same 500+ million people are also using the Google Hangouts to keep in touch with each other. When talking of popularity, Google is on top of every other company, including Facebook and Apple.

There are countless people whose lives have been integrated into the Google services and this has been going on for quite some time. As it seems, this is nowhere near the end as Google keeps coming up with new products, innovations and inventions that keep attracting more and more people to this platform.

Google vs. Bing, Yahoo! and Apple

As noted earlier, Google is not the only company in the technological world. In fact, there are close competitors that are looking to overthrow the company in various sectors of this competitive economy. Among them are Bing and Yahoo!, which offer search services as well as email services. Even though these two have their own followers, the number is just a fraction of what Google boasts. Furthermore, there are less than 1 billion people using Apple’s iOS, yet Google’s Android surpassed this number a long time ago.

Outlook and Yahoo! provide email services, but their following is nothing compared to what Gmail has. There is no current web browser that has more users than Google Chrome, be it Firefox, Opera, Safari or IE. With such a huge dominance in the current market, will there be a company that will take down Google as far as popularity is concerned?

Google in the future

Whether Google will still be dominant in the future like it is today is something that we cannot tell at the moment. However, it is essential to note that the current success the company is enjoying has very little reflection on the success the company will have in the future. Things might change since the technological world is also changing fast and any company can fall from grace in no time. It has happened before, it can happen again.

One thing that is for sure is that many people will still be using Google products and services in the future. However, with the increasing innovation and competition, the current Google figures could change. Nonetheless, Google will still be in the picture 10 or 20 years from now and numbers will keep increasing.

At the moment, very few companies can go head to head with Google. The company has very high reviews and ranks and there is no doubt that everything ahead looks very bright for Google. It is true to say that Google’s future is bright and it is set to remain so for quite some time to come, even 30 years from now.
