Women like Apple Watch more than men: Report

checkin8.blogspot.com

It been more than a month since the launch of Apple Watch and on paper the sales figures add up to a more than healthy report. The Watch was the first smartwatch to acknowledge the need of different sizes for men and women but it seems both the majority genders have reacted differently to the product.
According to a research by California based data mining company CrowdFlower, the opinions on Apple Watch have a clear-cut gender divide. The company assessed around 30,000 tweets concerning the Apple Watch. The research claims that women are far more positive about the Apple product compared to men. 64 per cent of women tweeted positive about the Apple Watch compared to 53 per cent of men. Out of the total tweets about the Watch, nearly 70 per cent came from guys which is clearly indicative of the "tech is for guys" stereotype.
Other than the gender divide, the report conveys that most of the complaints from the users were regarding the slow delivery of the product and the buggy apps on the Apple Watch.
The Apple Watch is the latest product category from the Cupertino Giant and the industry watchers are pretty curious as to how the wearable will react to the market.
Yesterday we also reported that the Apple Watch will lose its market share to Android and other major platforms. The report claims that the Apple Watch and its successors will a hold a mere 38 per cent of the wearable market by 2020
