Expected Features and Release Date of the iPhone 8

2017 is the 10th anniversary of the iphone and apple and they have some major plans for the celebration .

After the launch of Iphone 7 Apple's ambitious plans for the iphone 8 includes the edge-to-edge OLED display
with an integrated touch ID fingerprint sensor and front-facing camera

Design  side
There are newses that apple is moving from aluminium body that it's been using since 2012 and instead planning
to re-adopt the Glass-backed body previously used in the iphone 4s.Though glass is more fragile and heavier than aluminium,
the thickness and weight of the display will be cut down through the use of OLED

Processor


An A11 chip built on a 10-nanometre process is expected to be housed inside the iPhone 8. An A11 chip,
 like all of Apple’s chip upgrades,
 will be both faster and more energy efficient, in addition to being smaller.

Home Button

The new iPhone iteration may also include an embedded home button, as opposed to the current location on the iPhone 7′s design.
With rumours of a more advanced Taptic engine, actions like the unlocking of the iPhone and the confirmation of a Touch ID payment will use vibrations to trigger them.

Camera

It’s believed the camera introduced in the 5.5-inch iPhone 7 Plus will continue to be a feature exclusive to “high-end” iPhone models in 2017,
 while a single camera will remain for the “lower-end” models. We could expect optical image stabilisation (OIS) for both the wide-angle and telephoto lenses as well as support for 3D photography effects if Apple opts to use an LG camera module.

Release Date

For the last several years, Apple has released its iPhone updates in September,
so we expect to see the iPhone 8 in September of 2017.

Other Features

The iPhone 8 could include more advanced biometric features such as facial recognition and iris scanning.
 Apple is currently working on the iris scanning feature, but it might not be ready until 2018.

lENOVO ZUK Z1 Review

Lenovo has been making big strides in the Indian smartphone market thanks to value for money devices. But except for the Vibe Shot, they have not really had a phone that appealed to the real geeks. All that is about to change with the Lenovo ZUK Z1.

ZUK is the product of a separate team of engineers within the Lenovo group who were given the freedom to push the envelope on what they could do with a smartphone. The result is the ZUK Z1, which was launched almost half a year back. The phone has finally made its way into India.

Lenovo ZUK Z1

Lenovo ZUK Z1 is a very contemporary looking phone with a curved back that makes it easier to hold. The curved back is also a good way of hiding the extra large 4100 mAh battery, which will come in handy. However, the design in nothing out of the box and is very similar to a lot of the phones we have seen over the past few months.

Advantages:

I have been a fan of the Cyanogen OS since I first used it on the OnePlus One. ZUK Z1 is the first phone in India running the Cyanogen OS 12.1. In fact, it is the first Cyanogen phone in India from a brand other than OnePlus and YU. And this is a good differentiator for the phone, giving it a level of customisation a lot of users will love.

Lenovo ZUK Z1 is a very contemporary looking phone with a curved back that makes it easier to hold.

It even comes with developer features and will be loved by users, and reviewers, who want to root their phones once in a while. Lesser mortals will enjoy the ability to customise almost everything on the phone from icons to notifications.

ZUK Z1 was announced almost a year back, and hence is powered by a processor that was available at that time. The Snapdragon 801 seems more than out of place on a spec list in 2016. But then you can thank the smartphone gods that this is not running the Snapdragon 810, which makes the 801 seem like a really cool dude. The good thing here is that the phone does pretty well on performance, and still manages to stay cool.

Disadvantages:

I did not particularly like the camera on this phone. It is not bad, but lacks detail we have started taking for granted these days, especially when you have Ultra Pixel technology in the phone. When you start zooming in on photos, it starts becoming blurry. You will find it tough to get good crops from this camera. Also, it struggles to focus on objects close to it. So this is not an option for people who like to click flowers. But people who are satisfied with mom and pop shots, and their own duckface selfies need not worry about the camera’s capabilities.

The fact that this has a Qualcomm Snapdragon 801 processor might put off a lot of buyers who might think it’s not a great option when you are looking to future-proof yourself. Even with benchmark scores, the phone is competing with devices launched a year back. However, if you are not really bothered about what the specs look on paper, this is not something you need to really worry about.

Redmi Note 3 is Xiaomi’s third ‘Made in India’ smartphone

As a part of Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s ‘Make in India’ initiative, Xiaomi partnered Foxconn last year to manufacture smartphones in India. The Chinese company’s first ‘Made in India’ smartphone was the Redmi 2 Prime, followed by theRedmi Note Prime. Today, Xiaomi launched the Redmi Note 3 in India, and while it doesn’t have the ‘Prime’ tag, it is the third smartphone to be manufactured in the country.

The Redmi Note 3 is going on sale from March 9 onwards on mi.com and Amazon India. Xiaomi has launched two variants of the smartphone — 16GB and 32GB, priced at Rs 9,999 and Rs 11,999 respectively. Unlike the MediaTek-powered smartphone launched in China last year, the variant launched today is powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 650 chipset.
